Twighlight Quiz
|
After the success of first holding a Harry Potter Quiz, then a Roald Dahl quiz last year, Mr Fitzpatrick came up with the brilliant idea of using the Twilight books as the theme for the library quiz 2010. 12 teams of students entered for the competition. |

| The Grand Final was held in the Hall with guest appearances of a vampire and a werewolf in the guise of Mr Fone and Mr Fitzpatrick. Question master was Mrs Gillard and after 21 fast and furious questions, the Maths Department were triumphant, with each contestant winning a pre-ordered copy of The New Moon DVD out on 22nd March. The runners up each won a poster of the Cullen family. The lighting during the quiz was put on by Steven Frazier-Roberts and Dan Mahoney, which was excellent. Mrs Cartwright was photographer and took some brilliant photos. Mrs Whitley did a marvellous job as door person and bouncer and Mrs Vaughan valiantly helped with the setting up of equipment and make-up. Sweets were given out to the audience by the New Borns’ Abigail Tucker, Izzy Ponsford and Connor Mitchell. Thank you to everyone who helped make this an exceptionally fun event.

KS3 Bookaholics |
KS3 Bookaholics We have a book club in the library for students in years’ 7-9 who love reading. The name Bookaholics was founded and voted upon by students last year and being so apt in it’s description we have decided to keep it. The student members meet once every half term and have a choice of 4 books to read within that time. A meeting is then held during a lunch time where members can discuss how they found the books, vote on their favourite and choose 4 books to read for the following half term session. Quizzes and sweetie prizes are usually also involved!! The book club will re-commence after the Autumn half term and invitations for interested students will be placed in registers. |
