Compulsory
All students have one period a week following the ICT BACS (Business and Communications Systems) GCSE course. This course gives them practice in work related ICT including spreadsheet, database and word-processing skills, as well as giving them some useful knowledge about business communications and office procedures.

Optional
In addition to the compulsory BACS course students can opt to take the DiDA (Diploma in Digital Applications) course. This gives then an extra three periods a week in which they learn more advanced database, spreadsheet and web page skills, then apply these to an extended project. The course is worth a single GCSE but some students may go on to gain a second GCSE if they have time.
