This year we were delighted to repeat the previous year’s record breaking headline of 78% of students gaining 5 or more A*-C grades. This makes us the joint top school in Devon out of 36 comprehensives (the Devon average is 59%). The Government is introducing a new measure of 5 or more grades A*-C including English and Maths and on this statistic we were the top school. Students gained an average points score of 56 – up for the 7th consecutive year and a total of 24 students gained at least 9 A* and A grades – with one boy gaining 11 A*s and 1A.
At A Level, half of all grades were again at Grade A/B with a number of students gaining at least 3 grades at A2. Vicky Newman gained 4 As and is reading Law at Cambridge University and James Richards gained 3 As and is reading Natural Sciences at Cambridge University.
