Drama
Skills-based to begin, move on to acting techniques/styles and methods of devising spoken and sung text. Look at different types of performance, work with student filmmakers, writers, and visual artists. Experience different types of theatre: street, contemporary and traditional methods.
rebecca crookshank - I want to be part of a new creative movement in Kingsbridge, which can be accessible to all and create inspiring work for the whole community to enjoy. I would also like to offer training which normally one would have to go to London to receive; we have many talented and creative young people here who need the opportunities whilst they are young.

Street dance
Body popping to warm up, isolating muscle groups, popping and locking/animation technique, robotics, tensing/releasing. Glides and jumps... Hip-hop aerobics to raise the pulse, with counts, then music. Using different levels and varying dynamics... Down to the floor to explore the foundation techniques: footwork, handstands, baby freeze and, most of all, style... After we’ve covered some techniques and practiced a routine, we’re ready to
create our own movements, working towards choreographing a performance.
thomas willoughby - I had always been into funk and blues as a younster and break dancing really interested me. I realised to be good I needed body training so studied ballet and contemporary dance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. I then started to choreograph more which took me to Dartington where I have just finished my final year.

Music
Take nothing for granted, start with nothing. Make fantastic music. Compose instrumental pieces, create new songs. Come with an instrument if you have one, don’t worry if you don’t. Come with an open mind.
hugh nankivell - My work as a freelance musician combines performance, composition and community/education work and I am experienced in a wide range of creative music activities. I have toured both nationally and internationally with a wide range of world music, jazz and contemporary bands and ensembles and collaborated with dancers and theatre companies. I’m looking forward to being at Kingsbridge Community College again having worked with Year 9 students on The Ocean project last year.

Ceramics
Have fun and explore creative potential in the medium of clay using various making and glazing techniques such as coiling, press moulding, slab building, hand building, hand painting, raku and smoke firing.
sonje hibbert - I am a ceramic artist, fascinated by the processes involved in working with clay with a particular interest for technical/glaze exploration, plaster mould making and creating large work. As a result of extensive living and travelling abroad my work reflects a deep curiosity and attraction to the broader cultural field.
