COLLEGE FUND

The Kingsbridge Community College PTFA is a charity that raises funds to buy additional resources for the college. In the past we have purchased several major items, including two minibuses and a cutting-edge IT suite for the new sixth form block. We have also paid for a host of other extra resources such as software, books, art and cooking materials, and funded extra-curricular activities such as sports clubs, book groups and college productions.

PTFA Car Boot:

The Kingsbridge Community College PTFA held its first car boot sale up at the college on Saturday 14th May and it was a runaway success. Around 60 cars and vans turned up to spread their wares in the sunshine and lots of visitors came along to enjoy rummaging through the bargains and enjoying a pasty and drink in the lovely setting of the field.

The PTFA hopes to make this a monthly event on the first Saturday of the month in July, August and September, so come along to the next one and see for yourself! Sellers to arrive and set up from 8am (cars £5 and vans £10) and buyers from 9.30 till 12 (free entry and free parking to buyers).

We have been able to fund the following projects:-
£7000 to the music department for instruments, 16 new laptops for the science block, tents and other equipment for the outdoor education centre, and supplies for clubs such as the jewellery and Posh Nosh.

We raise funds in several ways, such as the annual St Nick's Fair, social events, and occasional link-up promotions with local businesses. However, a major source of PTFA money is the College Fund.

The College Fund

We ask each family to contribute a minimum annual donation of £15 per child to the PTFA. This gives us a reliable source of funds to help the college throughout the year. We would be grateful if you could fill in one of the forms overleaf (A or B), indicating your choice of payment method. Return this with any cash or cheque (made out to Kin sbrid e Communit Colle e PTFA donations to the PTFA via College Reception. If you choose to pay by standing order, please also send a completed standing order form (enclosed) to your bank or building society. Whichever method of payment you choose, please fill out the GIFT AID option (Form A) if you possibly can.

The value of Gift Aid

Gift Aid is the means by which the Chancellor enables charities to reclaim tax on any donation. Providing you pay income tax or capital gains tax, KCC PTFA is able to reclaim the tax you have paid on your donation. This means that for every gift-aided £I donated we can reclaim back an additional 22p! Filling out the Gift Aid form costs you nothing but is a huge benefit to the college and our children.
