Media Enrichment Activities
Each year the department offers the opportunity of a residential: a biennial trip to the East Coast or West Coast of America and a domestic excursion to Manchester. The focus of these is to develop understanding of the Media industry and the cultural issues surrounding it as well as to provide facilities to work with experts in new practical ways.

Students have also regularly benefited from a wide range of in-house workshops including courses on ‘I Can Animate’, ‘Flash’ and cinematography (the last held jointly with Dartmouth Community College). They have also participated in a number of projects forming mini-media businesses which cover college productions and events.
