Welcome to all our Year 6 students and parents who will be joining us in September 2026

We are delighted your child will be joining us from September 2026 when they will begin their secondary education.  We very much look forward to meeting both you and your child in the coming months and welcoming you into the KCC community.

We will be contacting you in due course with further information including a link to our on-line transition portal.  The portal is where you will complete the necessary data collection forms as well as providing you and your child with all relevant information about starting KCC.

Monday 9th March: Online transition portal opens

Thursday 2nd April: Deadline for admissions forms to be
completed in the portal

Thursday 18th June: Enhanced transition day for EHCP/EHCP
pathway students

Thursday 18th June SEND Information Parents Evening – 17:30 at
KCC

Week Commencing 22nd June: Tutor group allocations sent out

Thursday 2nd July: Induction evening for all students, parents and carers 16:00 – 17:30

Wednesday 1st July OR Thursday 2nd July – Induction days for students – letters will be sent to confirm which day each student can attend.

Monday 3rd to Friday 7th August:: The Big Step Summer Transition Programme

Monday 7th September – First day of Autumn Term for students
