As well as our annual open evening, we hold an induction day after GCSE exams have finished. This gives you the opportunity to try subjects you are interested in, meet other students and staff, and get a real taste of what Sixth Form life is like at Kingsbridge Community College.

Our Sixth Form offers a different experience from lower school, with dedicated spaces and facilities, high-quality teaching and a programme designed around your individual interests, strengths and ambitions.

You will have opportunities to get involved in enrichment activities, develop your independence and leadership skills, and access expert guidance to help you plan your next steps, whether that is university, an apprenticeship, employment or another pathway.

Applying to Kingsbridge Sixth Form

If your child is already studying at Kingsbridge Community College, they do not need to make a separate application to join our Sixth Form. The transition process will be arranged through the college, with students receiving information and support about their subject choices and next steps.

We warmly welcome applications from students at other schools and if you wish to join us from elsewhere, please complete the application form using the link below.

Once we have received your application, we will invite you to meet with a member of the Sixth Form team to discuss your application and subject choices. Parents and carers are very welcome to join this meeting.

It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about Sixth Form life, our courses and the support available to you.

Financial support

We want every student to be able to make the most of their Sixth Form experience. Financial circumstances should never be a barrier to accessing the opportunities available at the Sixth Form.

Financial support may be available through the 16-19 Learner Support Bursary, including:

• Guaranteed bursaries for eligible students who are in care or care leavers, students receiving Income Support, and disabled students who meet the relevant criteria.
• Support for eligible students receiving Free School Meals and families receiving Working Tax Credit or Universal Credit.
• Funding towards costs such as transport to and from college, course fees, materials and curricular trips.
