Army Stem Engagement

20th February 2020

On Friday 24th January Kingsbridge Community College hosted an Army Stem Engagement event. Over 30 students took part in Operation Disaster Relief delivered expertly by Michael and Jason from the British Army. The mission involved building, designing  and computer programming robots to clear a route for aid workers.  After two hours the mission was complete. The student teams competed to discover who could design and code the most effective robot. The competition was won by our Girls into Coding team - well done to Ellie Mack, Charlotte Turner, Alice Robinson, Maya Jackson, Marianne Jackson and Amber Bidwell.

Well done to everyone that took part, you worked well in your teams to complete the mission and represented the school brilliantly - excellent engagement and attitude shown by all students involved. Thank you to Michael and Jason from the Army Stem Engagement Team for providing such a fantastic experience for the students.
